Hi - I wonder if anybody could kindly help - without going into too much depth, I am seriously fed up being constantly overcharged at Sainsburys. This happened to me yet again a few days ago for 3 items and when I pointed them out to customer services, they agreed I was right and said that they would be amended the following day (they were due to be open for another 4 hours on a Friday evening). When I asked to speak to a Manager, she apologised and spoke to a member of staff about adding the adjustment into the book at which point there was some laughter over their system since, according to a staff member at the counter "so many prices had been adjusted that week by Sainsburys many of them were wrong and they couldn't keep up consequently the book containing the updates was full up and incomplete". I have contacted their Head Office and asked if it this is correct procedure - they said all prices are amended the following day since their system cannot adjust them immediately - I then asked if people would still be overcharged for the remainder of the day and they wouldn't answer. I have asked the question twice and they have come back with usual platitudes of sorry you are unhappy, we take your comments seriously but have still not answered anything about people continuing to be overcharged for the remainder of the day. So, can anybody give me the e-mail of somebody senior so that I can bypass their customer service people since I feel this is really unfair on the ordinary person shopping there and they really give the impression that they just don't care. I can then send my email on to him - might not do anything but will at least either confirm my impression of them (at which point I will need to look further afield to shop I guess) or make somebody aware that something should change - thank you guys:)

There's really no reason not to use a normal font on here. Those of us that can read tend to ignore posts that aren't written normally.0

Unless things have changed.. they (office staff, not checkouts) should be able to adjust the till price downwards (to match the ticket) - then replace the ticket so that the correct price (what was on the till) can be charged the following day. However, I'm not surprised that 4 hours before closing they had no one in who could do that - they tend to finish quite early!
Have you been speaking to duty managers at the store? It can be hit and miss whether they know about the price control. The commercial manager at the store would know, and would be able to sort it out.0
