Debit Card Service Charge!

Hello everyone,
Just got my bill through and there is 4 £1.50 service charges.
But only 1 got refunded. And ive read they are from spending money abroad.
I have been abroad but did not use my debit card whilst away, the service charges are also spread about months apart.
Can someone help solve this problem

I bought some apps on my phone, If the currency I paid in was foreign could this be why I have been charged?!
