Lloyds Bank don't listen

Hi All,
Just wanted to vent on here. We have been charged £75 in the past for going 2p overdrawn. So in light of the rang and wrote to Lloyds asking them to not to pay anything out if the money was not there. I would rather pay an unpaid fee than these extortionate charges.
We have recently moved banks and thought we had the account settled but low and behold there monthly charge for the account threw us over the threshold again and now because I stopped monitoring that account they are now looking for £161 in charges.
I rang them and told them they could go swing for it so I am waiting now for a threatening letter from them.

Calm down dear, as our PM would say

Find out why they have charged you £75 for having gone 2p overdrawn. Clearly a mistake based on the way it has been described, so get the facts clear from them first before attempting to take it any further. Getting them to explain it all in writing would be best

Computers generate charges based on a line in the sand. So, 2p overdrawn is over the limit.
Most banks will refund on first error. However, if you go in heavy handed and abusive then they are more likely to dig their heels in.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). True, dunstonh, but the line in the sand really should be drawn at negative £10, as Lloydstsb operate a £10 buffer zone

Hence why I believe there is a mistake here somewhere..."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
That buffer only applies if you have an overdraft facility, and only on current accounts.0

The £10 buffer applies to either planned planned or unplanned overdrafts.;)
Yes this is only in relation to current accounts; are there any other accounts that offer overdraft facilities?
(Actually I guess it only applies to personal banking current accounts to be even more accurate)"Now to trolling as a concept. ....
