Repairing Crumbling Mortar that ants have dug out...

Apologies for my possible lack of proper terminology!
On the outside of my house, I have 2 holes which bees/ wasps have dug. On the inside of my conservatory (but the outer wall of my kitchen) I have a load of crumbly mortar which the ants have kindly dug out for me. And as they refuse to be evicted, I'm going to have to fix the wall around them.
I'm after advice on the cheapest solution to my issues - and possibly an easyish one. Achievable for a 27YO chick who can fix plumbing, but has no idea on wall-repair!
Thanks in advance,
KxP

Buy a small bag of mortar mix from somewhere like Wickes and a small trowel and you are on your way. Good luck with it. Don't mix it up too wet so that the water runs out and marks the brickwork.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
