I currently have line rental with bt only.
I am about 6 months through an 18 month contract, I am currently paying around £13.60 per month (or however much it is this month).
I have rang to try and move to the line saver for upfront payment of £10 per month & was declined due to being in a contract, they will offer no other discounts.
Is there any other solutions? Its annoying paying these ever increasing bills when I hardly use my landline & other companies offer deals around half the price.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Did you not benefit from BT,s free or cheap connection offer?0

18 month contract? Sounds like one of the conditions of getting a cheap or free connection instead of paying the full £130.
That will preclude you from benefiting from any other offers for the duration of the contract.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
