    I can't see how this is anything but deprivation of capital. Just because there was some apparent verbal agreement that all endowments went to your partner, legally his ex has voluntarily given away a large amount of money, which legally must be seen as fraud if claiming benefits. Obviously if she was not claiming benefit then she could do as she liked with it. Not that I know a lot about benefits it just seems logical.

    As an aside, until they are divorced just remember that anything either party owns can quite possibly be included in a financial agreement, even if it is was acquired after. This can also include debt, but less likely!! But that is your own business.
