Went many moons ago, when the kids were little. Really enjoyed it.

Can't offer any up to date info though.

been to es cana about 20 times and love it but I will say it is a small resort with not alot to do. Hippy market on a wednesday is the busiest time as everybody from around ibiza comes for the day. a few touristy shops are around the beach and a couple of nice restaurants.

as for a water park, your gonna have to go on a trip to there unless you hire a car. Nearest one I would say would be Aguamar which is in Playa D'en Bossa near Ibiza Town.

Santa Eulalia is the biggest town in the area and you can get the bus or ferry to there, but again it isn't that big.

We love the place and are going back next year hopefully, our kids love it, they are 11 and 7.

Quiet and lovely little beach - little market at nights and bar on the beach - perfect for kids

I would say for family playa d'en bossa is a good resort, thier are the Fiesta Hotels right near the water park, and little fun fair, and they do very good all inclusives at them, I stayed at Fiesta Don Toni last year and didnt want to come home, the entertainment was great, the food was fabulous and really good location. I have also stayed at Port des Torrent, which is near San Antonio Bay and this is another lovely resort.

Stayed there a few years back, was an inland hotel with pool. At the time the children were 4 & 10months.

The resort is pretty small, the hippy market is ment to be really good, but i found it full of junk that i would not bother to buy. Seemed to be all the same stuff, repeated. Genuine items could not be confirmed, so the risks were not taken. It made a nice walk up there past all the bars & food outlets with the kids rides sat outside. Really enjoyed telling the kids no to every ride for the 20-30min walk each way.

They have some boat trips from the small harbour area, which i get sea sick so that was out. The beach was nice once the council raked it. A few cafe bars were on the front which we used alot, with one or two night time venues with english entertainment.

We enjoyed the holiday. We are a young family, so San Antonio is not the place for us, but instead its bedtime for 11pm with the kids up early. We hired a car for the day, drove to Ibiza Town for a McDonalds and popped over to San Antonio Bay for a recap of why we really did not want to go there. Stayed there a few years back and nothing has changed.

Es Cana has a a busy but quiet nightlife. Good for the couple who want to sit outside in the warm air, drinking San Migel listing to the Comedian / Singer inside. Not really for the Club 18-30 type of person, though im sure there will be some other 18-30 people there looking for the same action.

Another thing I nearly forgot. The local supermarkets bake there own bread, which you can smell when you walk into them. If we timed it right, the break sticks were still hot and the kids were happy to eat warm buttered bread stick chopped up. Yummy..

    Edit to add link -

We stayed here, which might of had a name change since we travelled.
