Your dad's card has absolutely no effect on you. Your dad, as primary card holder is fully responsible for the payments of that card (even if you run of with it) and as such there is only record on his file, not yours.
Those loans might be a bit too long ago for Tesco's automated service to register them.
The lack of recent credit history will most likely be the problem.
You have two options right now - wait for Tesco's decline letter and ask them to reconsider - reconsiderations I believe are done manually, not by computer and you might get it (and you have nothing to lose - there already is a search for it on your file)
or
Go to your own bank, who will assess you better as you have current account with them and build recent history before applying again for something you really want (ie for 0% interest periods or points or what ever).0 -

It's a real hit and miss affair, unfortunately - people with perfectly good salaries, stable employment, on the electoral roll being refused modest amounts of credit when other, much higher risk individuals are granted large sums, defies belief. Not much one can do about it though, as its up to each individual lender to decide if they want you as a client or not, however incomprehensible or unfair their decision may seem. Not worth challenging them either, as its their money and they can decide to whom and how they want to lend it - they will only come back with a fudged, vague response of how you didn't meet their criteria this time, or how responsible they are as lenders, which is pretty meaningless.
I would advise getting a copy of your credit report from all 3 CRAs as advised above, just to check there is no erroneous rubbish on file (it happens).
If all looks well, then approaching your own bank is the next best option as they know how you have dealt with your accounts over time.
If you are a second card holder on an account this will not show up on your Credit Report - the primary card holder is the person responsible for payment, it is their account and you have no responsibility as far as the credit card company is concerned re payments etc. It will only show up on the primary card holders account. Doing more than 3 or 4 credit searches in a short period of time can make lenders paranoid about your supposed "desperation", so is considered a bad thing and is temporarily damaging to a credit report.0 -

I think the best is to go personally to the bank where you actually deposit your paychecks and have some history with. Good luck!~ Sorilla Reads0

Back luck OP; I think it's probably the lack of credit history causing the problem since everything else seems great.
I am in the same boat except I was rejected from M&S. I am very disappointed, especially when people on this forum are reporting 4k limits on theirs! I too wanted to take advantage of 0% deals as I've never had one before but they obviously see me as a risk/not profitable enough. Probably had a search listed in the last couple of months for a current account so I guess that wouldn't have gone in my favour either.
I ordered my credit report and there is nothing wrong it. I was a bit miffed to see they didn't list how many searches had been done and it didn't really make clear which bits only I can see, and which bits lenders can see when they make a search.
Now I'm prevented from making any other applications for the next 6 months or I'll damage my report/score. Really annoying since I wanted a credit card before then.0
