Help, boot lock stuck
I am not sure how to solve this, so any suggestions would be greatfully recieved.
I shut the boot of my car (For Focus), and when it shut some cotton material gor trapped in the lock. The boot lock is still working, as when I try and open the boot I hear is trying to open. It is also in a position that is keeping on the light indicating a door is open.
I have gone in through the boot and tried to free it, but it is well and truely stuck.

Have you tried pushing the boot lid down whilst holding the button to unlock it?
If it won't free off, you'll have to remove the tailgate lining to get at the mechanism.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Yep, there is no give in it at all0 -
It might "pop" given enough force, but I think the safest solution is removal of the tailgate trim panel to gain access to the mechanism“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

What is this mysterious cotton material? Have you got a friend who could tug at it whilst you plip the boot and simultaneously push the lid down or try and pull it up?0

Pull hard enough, and the pillowcase should give way before the latch does.0

Hi,
Try soaking it with WD40 or a light oil, so that the cloth slides out rather than tears.
Re-lube the lock after, messy but do-able.C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z # 40 spanner supervisor. No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thought.Only after the last tree has been cut down.
