Two storey building extension
DMR2
I am considering a two storey extension to my house and have heard various costs per m2 to use as ready reckoner but am not sure how this is applied.
If my extension measures 3m by 3m at ground level and I use a ready reckoner of £1500 per m2 should I calculate at 3m x 3m x £1500 = £13500 or do I use 3m x 3m x 2storeys x £1500 = £27000?
If anyone can shed some light on this it would help me see if the whole project is worth pursuing.
Thanks

it's per square meter, so how many square meters do you have?
(a clue: a single storey building will not cost the same as a two storey)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
How much cheaper, percentage-wise, are additional storeys compared to the first storey?0
