Lloyds CC - time to clear payments

My Airmiles Duo credit card was rejected twice yesterday (27th), once for a £104 transaction and once for a £2.65 transaction.

At the cash machine, I checked my balance and it said I had £125.04 in available credit. I could understand why the larger transaction had failed, but certainly not the £2.65 one, so I went into the branch and they looked and told me I had a pending £300-ish transaction which had taken me past my credit limit but was not yet showing on my statement.

When I got home I looked at my statement online and could see the same available credit of £125.04, no £300 transaction - but a £300 credit which had hit the account the previous day (26th) but was not being reflected in the available credit (should have been at least £300).

I looked online again the morning (28th) and two more credit payments, one for £600 and one for £100, which I had made at the end of last week, had hit the account - but my available credit was still showing at only £125, and there was still no sign of this mysterious £300 transaction. My balance was showing at £665.71DR, which is the correct amount when the incoming credits are calculated.

I called the call centre, who told me that:
- The £125.04 "available credit" was actually the amount that I was overdrawn by (not so as £1000 in credit had now hit the account)
- It takes up to three days to clear after hitting the account (apparently on top of the three days it takes to reach their side from my Natwest current account) which I have never experienced before.
- I am unable to use my credit card over the bank holiday despite them having £1000 of my money
- They helpfully told me that I could pay cash in at a branch to be cleared almost immediately - a bit late now I have no money left in my current account to do so with as they have it all but are refusing to release it to me!

Has anyone experienced this before? I have had the card for over three years and never had any problems with my credit payments clearing.
