Brown water from steam generator

Has anyone got any ideas got brown water coming out of the iron holes. looked in manual it says using chemical descaling agents or additives in the water for ironing this is not true, cleaned out reguarly only using tap water any ideas. generator approx 6months old. tia squibbs

Neweds a clean and descale- ours was like this- didnt take too long and the results were good.
Would recommend it.

Sorry to sound silly, how do i descale it and what descaler do you recommend?

Water hardness salts! Can get plenty of descale products from supermarkets like Mr T - just follow the instructions for the product or use a mix of vinegar and water 1:1 and leave to soak overnight and then rinse out a couple of times with filtered water (worth using filtered water in your iron to reduce problem!)I'm mad!!!! :rotfl::jand celebrating everyday every year!!!0
