I bought three CO alarms from B&Q over 4 years ago. They have built-in (non-replaceable) lithium batteries. The batteries and the detector have a life of 10 years - once the batteries drain you simply buy a new detector.0

Your BG CO detector will have a 6 year warranty so when the battery goes flat (usually does within 6 years) you will be able to get a brand new one FOC.
Your £30, i would say, is a wise investment0
