BT monthly payment plan - huge payment jump

This has reared its head for me again. Just got my latest 3 monthly bill from 27 Apr to 27 July. Total amount : £161.18. Yet they say they have to increase my monthly payments to £85.00 per month!? When I do the math, 161.18 over 3 months is about £53.00 per month. I have the following : BT Vision bronze : £14.99 per month…

Free, subject to you complying with one condition.

"Caller Display is free if you make two chargeable or inclusive calls a month using BT"

I've never paid for it anyway (because I make 2 or more inclusive calls via BT each month).

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
