Hi all do you mind if I join? i've been trying so hard to spend no money most days and had had a few but then I went and spent a fair amount in two days!! so i've started again and have not spent a penny in the last 3 days, hopefully tomorrow will be a NSD also as we're driving back down to London for Scotland but I've already contributed to the petrol before hand!! Although I might go aquafit if i'm back in time so will have to spend 20p on a locker ( can I be cheeky and count that as a NSD?

I know there's only 2 weeks approx left of May so i'm going to challenge myself to 10 NSD in total so if I can do tomo too then i've only got 6 left which is achievable!

    Good luck everyone!! mwah X

Welcome Mazy xxx .....................you CAN do it :D

I've just done the same thing for my dinner. After mooning about thinking 'we have nothing in' I cobbled together pasta with 1/2 tin of chopped toms, a portion of some (lazy) Mediterranean roast veg which I'd blitzed in the mini chopper and frozen (were left over from another meal), plus some chicken style quorn pieces which I found in the bottom of the freezer. Add some oregano and grated cheese and yummy! Plus I have at least 2 more portions in the pan to re-freeze for lunch/quick dinners.

Other 1/2 of chopped toms is going to make some red lentil soup tonight. I'm getting all Nigella again :rotfl:

Kath - I still have Doctor Who from last week to watch...dying to watch it but also enjoying saving it as a 'treat' - bit like an Xmas present to unwrap :rotfl:

    Good evening all!

Greetings from the lovely west coast of Scotland where I am currently in my holiday residence! I'm looking out of the window of my lodge at a view of the sea and hills. Beautiful!
Had a lovely day today. We went to our favourite place for breakfast, did a little shopping and came back here and took doglet for a walk along the beach.
Spent this afternoon snoozing and reading our books - I'm blummin exhausted!:rotfl:

Glad you enjoyed your hollies, Kerri - of course we missed you!

    Have a lovely evening all:)

Whooo!!! am declaring NSD #2 :j Shops closed, errr...some bread in the fridge that I think can be 'salvaged' for toast in the morning and i can't be bothered to go out.

Am busy making red lentil and chilli soup, although am slightly concerned that it might be a little on the hot side - kinda bunged it together using a couple of recipies and I'm not the best when it comes to cooking with lentils and pulses

Glad you're having a lovely holiday Jints - day sounds a dream. x

Good evening all, have been on nights past couple of days so have a bit of catching up to do. Bit of trauma with car flat battery - called breakdown service out twice in five days. Fortunately battery was still under guarantee so have got it replaced free of charge. Now I am worried in case it wasn't the battery but something else which might cost hundreds to fix, Consequently I am treading on eggshells every time I go to the car, thinking "can I get in and will it start?" Fingers crossed.

Car insurance renewed with different firm - similar price but better cover.

Had Chinese takeaway tonight - OH and DS fancied one and each chucked in a few quid towards it so I thought "might as well, saves cooking."

I spy a possible NSD on the horizon for tomorrow, will keep you all posted.

Welcome back to reality, kerri, after your holiday. Just the usual insanity on here, you haven't missed much.
Enjoy your hols, jinty - get off that computer, you are supposed to be having a break!
