Planning ahead - Likely settling abroad

Hi all,
In my job, I anticipate that I will be moving abroad to Australia/NZ in a year or two. As I have been there a few times and really liked there, I may consider residing in there for the longer term.
So it means that I am likely to do transactions like buying a house when I am there.
Are there any banks in the UK where a relationship with them here will help when the time comes? For example, a bank that will consider my conduct here and use it for my benefit when I do migrate in the future.
Thanks for anyone with any suggestions/experiences!

I imagine HSBC will be a good place to start after the advertising campaign a few years ago:

Thank you Plxply.
1. Do you think HSBC will be useful (in transferring credit history information), even when I am not a HSBC Premier customer (salary not sufficient, savings/investments will be, but I prefer to stay with my current providers as I think they offer a better product)?
2. If even a normal HSBC customer (not Premier) is useful, will First Direct offer the same benefits?0
