I think our buyer is a time waster

The buyer had an excuse for the 'no show' yesterday and is coming tomorrow night to view the house again. The EA is going to see whether the survey is paid for today or tomorrow and if not it's back to square one.
We had 6 underbidders. Surely one of them will come good!!! The days are slipping away however....

Yeah! Survey has been paid for. At least that shows some level of commitment (although there's a long way to go yet. At least I can come off 'red alert' - I'm at orange now!)

Just wanted to let you know our situation. We also had what seemed super keen buyers. They came around 5 or 6 times, each time getting keener and keener to get in. They were measuring for furniture and stuff and were so keen it was unreal. Then 9 weeks later, they pulled out. We then find out they found another house down the road that had just come on the market, and they are now buying that one.
They said "Sorry its nothing personal". Yeah as if.

So of course we were too in a panic. Our vendors also said they would hold off for one week, but then three days later we secured another buyer. So it was all back on again. But i know how you are feeling as them 3 days were awful as the thought of loosing our dream home was so scary. And of course, you are not in control, and that is the most worrying part.

Well we still havent exchanged yet, but eveyrthing is still running smootly of course and we are just now waiting for the exchange date. Then once thats through Bobs your uncle, but of course you need to keep open minded as its not guaranteed yet, and again, all you can do is be hopeful.

It worked out for us, and it will work out for you. It just doesnt seem hopeful at the time.

Oddgy, your new buyers were on the ball - the survey was so quick!
I assume that the second sale goes through a bit quicker as some of the legal stuff is already done.
Thanks for sharing your story. I know it's not the end of the world if we don't buy now but we've really fallen for the house we're (hopefully) moving to. It's sandwiched between a golf club and a football stadium. My husband is thrilled (come to think of it, maybe we shouldn't move.....!)
