Problem selling SportKa!
Options
Hi all,
Now I'm well versed with selling cars as I've had a few, and without blowing my own trumpet so to speak, like to think I know quite a bit about them sinse I used to be in the motor trade many moons ago. The problem is, I seem to be having real problems selling my current car. Granted it's the most expensive car I've ever tried to sell, and the newest, so maybe that's the problem? Maybe everybody is after a bargain banger?
Anyway, it's a 2004 53-Reg Ford SportKa SE with 69,000-miles on the clock. I initially put it up at £2,250 with every intention of taking £2,000 when haggled with. I don't think that's unreasonable given the spec of the car and the fact that it's got about 9-months MoT. Anyway, I had one call and it was a waste of time really. I've now reduced it to £1,999 and will soon have to re-tax it. Looking at other SportKa's, it would seem that they tend to go from between £1,600 to £2,750. All I can think of is that there's quite a few out there, most of similar specification, with Tax & MoT etc. It's advertised on Ebay, Auto Trader and numerous Free Ad papers, and there's signage on the car itself.
Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks!

I would guess even 2k for a 53 Ka is steep, thats nearly 8 years old now.0 -
Thing is yours is one of the highest mileage for the year and I guess the rust and scuffed alloys put people off.0
