acer aspire 2930 and flash player
my sons girlfriend has the above laptop running vista basic, she can't play video's on u-tube or BBC iplayer or other sites,it keeps saying to download and install flash player, now she has installed flash player but still gets the message on u-tube and iplayer e.c. to download and install flash player, can anyone suggest a solution to this problem

what web browser does she use? did she download flash for IE when she is actually using FF? if this is the case download flash from the browser you want to view flash content in.

also give the computer a quick restart that may fix it.

Also, try uninstalling Flash and install again - get it direct from Adobe.com. Did she wait umtil the 'installed succesfully' banner appeared, as this can take some time to install, depending on the speed of the PC and/or internet connection?

will try and uninstall then reinstall, if that fails i will download firefox and try that for her

downloaded firefox and it works ok, cheers
