The gentler ones such as Dove, and Sanex work best for me. I find that harsher ones can trigger a reaction, so are ineffective.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I bought a Mitchum solid stick a while ago for the first time, the stick is lasting ages and I only have to apply it once in the morning and I am sweat free all day under my arms whereas before that was never the case with other deodrants I used.

I was a very happy Mitchum user for years until they changed the formula but I still havnt managed to find anything that even comes close, Sure has been probably the best of the bunch but still not wonderful like Mitchum used to be, however whilst shopping in Morrisons yesterday I noticed that they have changed the forumla again, this time adding Vit E and something else (sorry cant remember right now) and its on offer with a pound off, so I bought a roll on (powder fresh) and will give it a go over the next few days, fingers crossed:D I've had quite a long break from it too so maybe this will make a difference, I hope so, I'll report back:)
Thank you for this site Martin

Sanex -not any ond kind though. You need the extra protection/extra dry one in the white can with the blue lid. The stuff is incredible. I'm on the heavier side and can sweat a lot but this keeps it under control nicely. I used to use driclor but it stings and really irritates. Try the sanex spray. You won't look back!

  • Mitchum used to work for me but hasn't been effective for ages. I found Driclor to be very effective but stung like mad, especially if you'd just shaved. Also, if your armpits were damp at all - from sweat or washing - it stung more. I've been using Triple Dry, which you put on at night like Driclor and it doesn't sting at all but it's not as instantly effective either. In this month's issue of Prima there is a booklet of money-off vouchers including one for Odaban antiperspirant which i've never heard of before, but I think I'll look it up and try it.

For problem wetness as mentioned already Anhydrol Forte, Odaban and Driclor are what you are looking for. They are in a completely different league to anything else on the market and they are slightly more expensive than the ordinary ones but worth every penny imo. I'm sure with Driclor you just use it at night for a few days and then you can just use it on alternate days.

I swear by a Dove stick, but wouldn't dream of trying to go 48 hours ...

I use Sanex roll ons. when my job was a bit more physical I found that the soap I used would affect how whiffy I was at the end of a hard day's work - girly ones didn't do it for me, but imperial leather active ( now called imperial leather men though it's exactly the same bar) got me nice and clean, washed all the bacteria away that would make me whiff.

I second what peachyprice says, I have horrifically sensitive skin and also work on a hot hospital ward wearing a nylon-type tunic and I find the Nivea works really well.
