Fist Direct bank loan claim back PPI dilemma

Not too sure what to do about a PPI claim or even if I have a case, I have looked all though the sites info and according to this I may be eligible.

1st loan of 5k over 4 years taken out in 2004
2nd loan of 10k over 4 years taken in 2006 of that 5k paid the 1st loan
3rd loan of 20k taken out in 2008 same again paid off the remaining 10k loan.

On all 3 occasions I had PPI insurance added to the loan as I was advised it would be better as it was unsecured and gave me better protection. I was never asked of challenged about any medical issues etc, however I am type 1 diabetic that's why thought best take out the PPI not knowing that the policies didn't cover pre existing conditions.

All premiums were lump sums, paid to the insurer by the bank and then charging me £98 per month on top of the £498 per month for the last 20k loan

Question, has anyone tried claiming back PPI from first direct, and is it worth a go ?
