I always thought that just prior to Xmas or the New Year would be a good time to buy. Less people looking and more chance of getting a discount.
We started looking recently and put an offer in on a house. Because we were watching the market we ntoiced what was selling. TBH anything that is decent and priced properly is still selling even now with only 3 weeks to go before xmas.0 -
more people sell in the spring, with completion in the summer to move ready for September my parents said.
theres loads of us moving this and last week.
you dont get bargains at certain times of the year.
I take it youve decided to go ahead with buying then?
Where abouts are you looking:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I have been looking in south east london - charlton, lee and blackheath area for nearly 4 months could not find a decent 2 bed house. I am suprised the houses in lee which used to be 175k for a 2 bed house just 3 months back is now 235k. Crazy housing market - thought south west london is expensive, now the south east london house prices have gone up.0

south east london is cheap IMHO. Especially compared to whats going on everywhere else in london? 175 for a 2 bed house? You wont even get a one bed flat in e3 for that.
