Claim Capital?

Hi,

Iv sent forms off to a company called Claim Capital ltd, who rang me saying they could claim the PPI from my capital one cc.
I have since rang them up and asked if they have recieved the forms, they said they havnt.
I felt it a bit suspicious and rang trading standards. Who told me the office address that the business name is registered to is not the same as the address I sent the forms to.
They also told me they are a month late submitting thier accounts.

They havnt asked me for any money, but I have sent them capital one cc statements.

Should I worry?

the website is claimcapital.co.uk btw

You may want to cancel with them (if its not too late), because there's nothing they can do that they can't do yourself.

They can only claim back mis-sold PPI. Capital One often sold PPI through the internet or post, in which case it was up to you to review the paperwork and select the PPI. If it was sold without speaking to anyone, it's very unlikely it was mis-sold.

If it was sold over the phone, Capital One needed to do more, however you would still need a good reason to suggest it was sold incorrectly.

Do you remember how the PPI was added?
  • I only heard of PPI since Martin Lewis` emails started writing about it. Then when Claim Capital rang I had a look at my statements and there it was.
