Just a bit of a warning to those of you who want a new or replacement barbie now we have had a sniff of decent weather.

Being a Yorkshireman of Scots lineage, I am always wanting to shave a few pennies off my purchases. After finding a barbecue make and model that I wanted, I did a search and found a site called 'Express Barbecues', which showed the one I wanted as in stock, boasted that '95% of orders delivered next day' and to top it all, was about £8 cheaper than anywhere else, even with free delivery.

They accept PayPal, so I did not carry out my usually thorough evaluation of the whole site and placed my order...

The fun started when I noticed after 24 hours I had not had a confirmation email (luckily, I always do a screen grab of the 'order success' page). I tried to access the customer service area of the site, only to find dead links and 'this area is being updated' messages. To be fair to them, they do have a freephone number, it is just unfortunate they do not answer it!

I decided to send an email to the sellers PayPal email. That at least got me an order acknowledgment and a phone call. It was at this point I discovered the company also trades as Garden XL.

Anyway, it is now three weeks to the day since I ordered my barbecue, and there is still no sign of it.

Although I am sure it will arrive eventually, I could have spent a bit extra and ordered the same one from ebay and had it by now!

Be wary if you come across them - it might be worth telephoning to have them confirm stock before ordering to avoid the problems I have had

**Edit - Just got off the phone again - they expect another 10 to 14 days before they receive a shipment! order canceled, awaiting PayPal refund and going to get on off ebay, though it is now £14 more **
