Shapewear

hi Gemmy,
I bought these shapewear corsets for my wedding after seeing them on How to Look Good Naked, where Gok Wan fitted one on a lady and it worked a treat!
They are from theapparelplace and are extra strong control and work just great, my dress size dropped! I have had mine a few months now and can recommend them highly.
I hope this helps!! x0 -

I think they're ideal if you are slimmer but still have a bit of a tummy or just want everything to feel a bit tighter under tighter fitting clothes so it gives you a smoother shape, but no good at all when you are larger to start with
I think this demonstrates how different people's experience can be.
I'm a size 18/20 with ALL my weight being from the waist down and I really think the M&S shapewear helps to pull me in and smooth me out...it lifts my bum and smoothes my thighs and pulls in my tummy...
It's very important to get the right size - go up a size if you have to.0 -
Hi, I have 2 pairs of these, the high-waisted cycling short type design and they really are magic! Measure yourself and buy the correct size for you, shown on their sizing chart; they're a devil to get on - lots of wiggling - but once in place they are pretty comfortable and they seem to redistribute your fat to produce a really nice silhouette under clothes (and they do have a very practical, if not very attractive, open gusset so you don't need to keep getting in and out of them to go to the loo). Because they are high waisted and mid thigh length I don't get visible bulges where they end and would recommend them without reservation. Having said that, I did try Spanx Hi Rise Thongs and they were rubbish, didn't hold anything in, so I would definitely stay with their Higher Power range.
While I'm here, can anyone recommend a high waisted thong brand as, like I said, the Spanx ones were rubbish?0 -
the trinny and susannah thongs are good, seem to hold you in and are very high waisted0
