I apologise right now if an answer to this has been posted before.

I need a small office in Scotland.

How do I avoid rates? What are these enterprise zones/incubators etc and how do I get to find where they are?

Why not ask around your friends/family/colleagues to see if they have some spare office space you could use. I am seeing more and more small businesses doing "swaps" - recently, one web designer client has agreed to maintain someone else's business website in return for using a spare office in their premises. This way it benefits everyone and you avoid the hassle/costs of formally renting somewhere.

Have you thought about renting from one of the office space providers? I rented a very small office for a while but they're really good as you pay an all in fee and can rent on a daily..weekly or monthly basis.
