came home and watched a dvd with teh kids then really didn't feel like tea so instead of the chicken casarole i'd planned i made a BBQ type marinade and cooked it up and were having it with chips, so wasn't what i planned but still a nice quick cheap mealDEC GC £463.67/£450

Just popping in to say hi so you don't think I'm being rude and ignoring you! I've had a terrible headache all day so I'm actually going to switch off the computer now and try to get a quick nap before OH comes home. I hate migraines!!! I always feel so sorry for myself when I have one.0

Evening all
NSD today so no spends on groceries...we ate leftovers today so didn't have to cook... yay!Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200
NSD Challenge: October 0/140 -
NSD for me today. Made pizzas for dinner. I made the base and put the sauce on, then everyone put their own stuff on top of that. The choices today were - onion (frozen!), peppers (frozen!), mushrooms (frozen!), pineapple (tinned), ham, grated cheddar and sliced mozzarella. Served with 'salad', aka bendy stuff from fridge! Rather nice, and everyone got to eat something a bit different. Going to experiment with freezing my bases once I've eaten some more of my UMOs.
If anyone is using slim fa$t, they're in a$da for £3 at the moment.
Night all,

Oh over tonight, his carer droped him round and set up all his bits and bobs and sorted out his meds and will pick him back up on sunday evening. He's got AAT def induced COPD meaning he's got oxygen tanks and daily meds, but we're fairly used to this now.
I've been very good and haven't been out to the shops again. Having to have a meat heavy diet this weekend as oh is high protien but when he said he was thinking about comming round i thought - good think i shoved all those impulse buys in the freezer.
Prob won't get any cooking or baking done outside meals this weekend so may end up having to buy some bits to go with soup on monday after work...
will try not to. plently of flour, yeast, bicarb and the like in, and buckets of uht milk stocked up, so should be able to avoid the shopos for the rest of the month if i try very hard. One of the hardest of all life lessons is this:
Just because I feel bad doesn’t necessarily mean someone else is doing something wrong.
Just because I feel good doesn’t necessarily mean what I am doing is right.0 -

Morning everyone. Just adding up my receipts & realised that I have already gone slightly over budget & still have 6 days left to payday. Mind you, only slightly over is actually pretty good for me so in a way I am pleased. However, if I had been keeping better track the last week adding up my receipts, I might actually have been able to have chosen not to buy some things & made it! I do also need to get some big bags & probably some milk. I am also incuding two Mr T vouchers as DTD even though at the moment I only have a voucher for the difference but hopefully if they do what they say they will regarding their mistaken advertising the other day in the Sun, then my figures will be correct. Must remember next month though, to count the vouchers as actual spends seeing as I have taken them off already. Still need to get bin bags & probably milk plus I am off to do some other shopping in a while & may be tempted to get DS some more of his G/F cereal that I can only get at Asda as that is nearby.
Hippeechiq - still thinking of you, hun. Hope you are ok.
Spiggle - you haven't posted for a while. Hope you are also ok.
Quintwins - is any of your garage junk worth ebaying rather than just dumping?
RonniesMummy - welcome to the thread. I agree with quintwins - I would not consider myself to be a great cook either but slow cookers do make so many things so much easier.
expresso21 - hope you are feeling better today.
Winged One - do you live miles away from a Sainsburys then, by the way that you say "make a trip up north", I presume you do? I bet that means having to be super orgainised does it? Gosh, would be a bit of a nightmare for me. Disorganised seems to be my middle name at the moment!
dibblersan - that must be nice to have your oh home for a few days. Not too sure what your abbreviations mean but it does sound like a bit of hard work for you. Maybe the shop bought stuff might be a better idea. Hope you enjoy your days together.
