Gable wall between 2 semis

There's no adjoining wall in the loft between my house & next door (semis). If I have this built in blockwork (cellcon blocks), would these need to be tied in somewhere please? Sounds daft, but I can't see a freestanding wall being ok...?

Apart from possibly being tied in to the existing roof rafters with straps, it is difficult to see what the wall could be tied to. Presumably this wall will be a double block wall, and as such, fairly stable, in it's own right. In any event, what can happen in the loft to make it in any way unstable.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
