Vanquis Nightmare!

Vanquis are a nightmare.....
First, I notice my interest rate has been increased from the 39% to 59% with no notice, only saw it by accident when I binned their awful internet statements and went back to paper ones! No letter telling me etc, and thats been confirmed by their call centre. Been waiting now for 6 weeks for the customer action team to respond....
Second, Last months statement issued on the 28/03/11 shows me that I've cleared my balance and that the minimum payment due is £0
Yesterday, I notice when checking my bank account that £14.99 has been paid to Vanquis!
So they send you a statement telling you that no payment is due, and then take a payment for an amount that has been charged to my card in between statements, no doubt this amount will be on my next statement due on the 28th of this month, and I now have already paid!!!!
Luckily, this didn't make me overdrawn, but I could have ended up with a charge for refusing the DD from my bank, no doubt Vanquis would then have charged me for a returned DD, and I might have ended up with a late payment being marked on my CRA files, ALL THROUGH NO FAULT ON MY PART.
Think it's time to bin Vanquis, seems that they are/could be a liability, I've finally got all my finances in good order, and the company that we all go to to help us restart our good financial behaviour seems to have some very strange systems in place!
PS My Direct Debit is set to pay the full balance due (But surely thats the full balance notified on your last statement?)

Ahhhh good old Vanswiz, you need to be on top of your game to avoid all their little charges...from what I've read on here anyway.
I would dump the thing and get a Crap1 or Barclaycard Initial."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0
