NEVER renew with Churchill

Never ever accept a renewal of insurance from Churchill. They offer Internet discounts if you buy a new policy but sneakily when you renew it you dont get the discount. It's much cheaper to cancel and buy a new policy off them.

Same thing normally applies to all insurance companies. You get a much better deal if you get a new quote as a new customer.

Just get a quote on the net as a new cutomer, just input same details as insurance company have already got and you may get an introductory discount for being a new customer. It does show up on their systems but they don't bother about that. Insurance renewal camt through for my dad earlier this yr, went online to same company and saved £50! Even sent them their own prrof of NCD back!

    Just haggle on the phone.

I did this with Norwich Union Direct this year on the basis that everything is the same apart from the value of car, which is less than the previous year (obviously). It worked!

I've got round this by telling the current insurer that I'm cancelling with them - well before the policy expires.

Don't know if they amend theire records then, but I've been able to obtain 'new customer' quotes.
