Bank keeps charging

I wasnt really sure where to post this as it is not so much about reclaiming bank charges. Basically I am struggling finacially at the moment and have asked my bank for help (increased overdraft for a few months) but they are not willing to help yet they will quite easily keep charging me GBP 25.00 every time I go over my current overdraft. I dont know how I am supposed to get back on my feet if y bankkeeps charging me. I need all my money to try and stabilise myself yet I am losing at least GBP 25.00 if not more a week
Is there anything I can do to stop these charges until I am sorted??

Before borrowing money from a friend, decide which you need most.
You cannot spend your way out of recession or borrow your way out of debt

I'm guessing the transactions that are causing the breaches are direct debits? If so then can you cancel them and pay by other means when you have the money, ie just after payday?
If you can't cancel them, can you delay them until later in the month?0 -
Yes they are direct debits. I am trying to reduce my gas and electric ones as I believe I am in credit with them anyway but until then there aren't really any others that I can stop/delay. I am currently waiting to hear if I am entitled to housing benefit also which will help me get back on my feet but that is taking quite some time. Basically I got 95 pound in my account today but after bank charges I have been left with 21 pounds!!!
I am in such a mess and just dont know what to do anymore:-(Before borrowing money from a friend, decide which you need most.

In this situation you need to stop putting withdrawals through the bank. Otherwise you are just going to rack up charges. They have told you they will not extend the OD facility so trying to put DDs through is just asking for trouble. Cancel them and pay them manually until you get back on your feet.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Cancel all your direct debits for now
Speak to your bank and ask if they will waive any charges that are meant to be coming out as a goodwill gesture
Write to/call your utilities etc and tell them you are having financial problems and will have to pay them a bit late - if they try and say they can't accept this then tough! If you don't have the money available then you can't pay them - simple as.
Once you have the money available then pay them manually
When you are back on your feet then you can set the direct debits up again but at the moment they are just causing issues for you0 -
As said before, stop all direct debits immediately and take it from there.0

Thanks guys, I am going to try and speak to all my direct debit people today, see if I can pay a few things late etc. Hopefully I will manage to get back up soon xBefore borrowing money from a friend, decide which you need most.

In Germany are these art of tricks strictly prohibited. Some Sparkasse have tried to hide their real taxes but their fails and had to paid their taxes back to their customers0
