I wish i had taken my case forward 2 years ago WHEN FIRSTPLUS CLOSED MY CLAIM
when firstplus sent me the breakdown of the loan I took out in 2007approx.., I saw they had included ppi i called them immediately asking for it to be removed, the gentleman said he would have to recalculate and it would affect my loan.i had no option but to continue. i asked them for a copy of the telephone conversation as i remember it so well.....they fobbed me off and closed my case giving me the option of the ombudsman..i did not follow it up..i now wonder if it is too late as they did not respond to my request for a copy of the tele conversation...
any advice?

Hi there
Its possible the case will be re-opened anyway, depending if an appeal goes ahead and depending what happens from here, but if you did not make the original complaint in writing but just verbally, I would try making a reclaim in writing.
However, on this site the template letters are replaced by questionnaires, so maybe you could complete, keep a copy as well in case you need to refer back to it at some point.
You will find the details as below - stage one of reclaiming, good luck.

If they did not mention your referral rights to the FOS then it wasn't their final response. FirstPlus are famous throughout the land for not issuing a final response when first challenged.
That is excellent news for you my friend, because you can continue with the complaint. Write to them, ask for the telephone conversation again, get your money back. FirstPlus PPI is disgusting. Good luck

it said in original post that they were given the option of the obmudsman, thefore they have missed the boat as FOS wont look at it.0

Oh yeah, I mis-read that sentence. Good call my friend. Shame though
