I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop which i was hoping to sell for £200 as i need to replace it with a netbook.
Was thinking about putting it on ebay.... however i think i have a problem with the battery as it wont work without the charger and on the battery display it says 0% plugged in, not charging.
Other than that its a perefectly working fine laptop with slight wear and tear cosmetics but nothing major.
Am i asking for too much ££s?
Thank you

Look at what you can get on eBay for £200. This is 'as new'.
Toshiba Satellite C660-18C £199.99 No webcam and you'll need to fork out another £12 or £16 for an extra 1GB or 2GB respectively for more RAM.

You decide. Perhaps you can invite offers.0 -
Thank you im not very good with all this kind of stuff but basically i should drop the price? Maybe offers would be good yes, not great with ebay either haha0

Of course you would like to get as much as possible for it, so it's not for me to advise you to drop the price.0

It sounds like the battery is knackered. If you sell it as broken you will get a lot less than if you buy a new battery (go on ebay and search for Dell Inspiron 1545 battery). They should be £20-£30.If my post helped you in anyway, please hit the "Thanks" button! Please note any advice I give is followed at your own risk!0

thank you for both of yours advice
i think i will think about it a bit more.

If you go the replacement battery route, you should mention it in your listing. Otherwise the buyer will have an excuse for a 'chargeback'.0

List it on Gumtree first. Its free and no chargebacks.
eBay would only be a charge back if it wasn't a genuine battery any way.New PV club member. 3.99kW system. Solar Edge with 14 x 285W JA Solar panels. 55° West from south and 35° pitch.0 -

I got a Samsung Original for my Netbook on eBay for about £30, a 6hour one at that.
Deals can be had if you look.New PV club member. 3.99kW system. Solar Edge with 14 x 285W JA Solar panels. 55° West from south and 35° pitch.0 -
i think gumtree would be a good route actually. That way people can come and look at it and make their own mind up.0
