Unvented hot water cylinder regs

Im having an unvented direct (ie two immersion heaters, no gas in the property) hot water cylinder fitted.

Online its mentioned that you need a G3? Installer and building control must be notified. Is this only for unvented systems fed by gas boilers or is this a requirement for all electric installations?

Cheers,

The installation of all unvented cylinders is notifiable work.

Yes your installer (and service engineer - remember they need properly servicing each year) must hold a G3 ticket.
