life insurance

Can someone please recommend a good life insurance policy as they all baffle me.
i have 2 kids and my oh has a lot of medical probs so he is no longer able to get life insurance cover as noone will insure him.
i have a mortgage and a loan both without protection simply because the mortgage is not for the full amount on my home and i wanted to get a better deal on my life cover rather than 1 the mortgage ppl want to give you. so any advice is greatly recieved thanks.:D :D:D:D

    I suggest you arrange an appointment with an IFA.

    There are different types of life assurance for different needs. You probably need two types as well. Not just one.

  • I agree speak to a good IFA. He should look at two policies, one to cover your debt and another to look after your dependants. He should also investigate your husbands helth issues to see if he can get affordable cover through a specialist insurer. Good luck

    yes speak to an IFA i have just got life assurance due to working on oil rigs
    my IFA found one with norwich union its level term morgage protection.
    im insured for £90,000 and that means that whatever happens my wife will get £90,000 our morgage is £70,000 so if i died in the next few weeks my missus would get the house paid of and £20,000 in cash

    this is over 18yrs level term at a cost of £11.49 per month though this is an expat assurance so prices could or should be cheaper when living in uk
