Hearing a chick talk like this can be slightly arousing depending on age and stats. Can you put a bit more info on your profile.

It's not really a "catastrophic collapse in sentiment" is it?

Maybe the property fad era is finally beginning to wane.

After all it did become the quick route to wealth and riches.....

I don't thing it's beginning to wane, it's well and truly... erm... waned? Not sure that's the correct phase. Anway, the mania of investing in property has well and truly gone for most of Joe Public. High BTL deposit requirements and the real prospect of limited capital grwoth over the short to medium term.

However, what I think we'll see (are already seeing?) is a mass of people reluctantly renting out properties that they already own, have lived in and now can't see for what they paid for them. And this makes sense, as people are struggling to buy houses because prices aren't really falling and they can't get a mortgage even if they were.

I guess we'll have a situation where people who want to buy but can't rent the houses from people who want to sell but won't. Strange really.

Not so sure myself. Markets move on sentiment. Normally overshooting before entering a correction phase. As the herd tends to stick together.
