Entering a much loved pet into a competition?
Afternoon all,
I was wondering how many of us would or have entered our much loved pet (Big or small) in to competitions?
I have entered mine, In our local paper Bristol’s evening post today in hope that we will win a lovely canvas print of her!
Is anyone else entering in the Bristol area?
How far would you go, To win a fantastic prize for your fur baby? :rotfl:

My dog has won loads of comps, I never enter vote comps though x
I'm a comper and if i come across a comp which needs a pet pic, I have loads of decent ones stored on laptop ready for most occassions xx
Good luck xxx#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
I've entered a few - My big girl got through the shortlist of the Dogs Trust Honours Awards (quality of life award) a few years ago - we didn't win but we did get a two page feature in one of the dog magazines and some free publicity for the local animal charity we support.
and the wee one won me some Andrex Slippers :rotfl:0 -
Sadly most comps are against my baby as he lost his tail - since then his publishing rate has decreased massively! (such discrimination from magazines;) other than that I got some Felix vouchers when o wrote and told them e looked like Felix and offered his services. If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0

How did he lose his tail?0 -
There's a thread somewhere here... I shall try to find it. The vet thinks he left it under a car, car moved, boots ran but it caught his tail - 100% burns to his mid tail, not much movement so bye bye tail and hello stump. He's none the worse for it - but he keeps failing full body shots when entered into magazines and online

My dogs used to enter dog shows, they won a few times as well.
My mums friend (who is a breeder) has a Phalene who wins a lot of competitions and dog shows as she is just so gorgeous and unusual while still maintaining breed standards (perfect tricolour and exactly 11 inches tall)0
