We have been let down by someone who was going to make my sister's BM dress so now need to start looking ASAP. We are going to look in department stores but where else does anyone suggest? We don't want a formal BM dress as it wouldn't do anything for my sister's figure so we are going to check out most things before we can rule anything out. We still have 10 and a half weeks so not too much of a panic but I would like to sort it so it is one less thing on my mind.

You're right about checking the high street. The bridesmaid dresses available from bridal shops will be the more traditional type. Debenhams have a good variety of labels if there's a large branch near you. Monsoon or Coast are very good if the budget stretches that far.
Any more clues on budget and the style/colour you want?
The downside with high street can be finding something in a colour that matches your scheme.0 -
Pale pink for the dress so it should be quite easy to find, I have a swatch to take shopping with us for a rough guide. Ideally we are looking for knee length and I know it doesn't sound very MSE but I am not too worried about the budget. My sister has a lovely figure but it is not one that manufacturers seem to make dresses for so I am happy to go with pretty much anything that looks good ( within reason!)MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

If you let us know what size we are looking for, we may be able to narrow down some of the choices. Or if she is a different size on the top to the bottom, it may be possible to find seperates that when put together look like a dress.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Possibly a 16, she has just lost weight so not sure but she has a large bust too. I have found a bridal shop where we are going that has a variety of styles too, they might surprise us!MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

This one is quite pretty, but it's out of stock at the moment in the size 16 - you could see when they will be getting it back in though, as it's not in the sale.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Have you thought of BHS? I got mine from their Sophie Gray range and they're beautiful, but not too formal.First date 10.2.2002
