Electric Ovens and Electricity

Hello guys,
We want a free standing basic as you like, just does the job electric oven/grill(don't need a hob). Can we plug them into standard plugs, or do they require special plugs?
If they do require something special, are there certain catagories of really basic ovens that can just be plugged into regular plugs?
Hope this makes sense.
Many thanks in anticipation.

Other than the mini ovens you will not get a freestanding oven alone. You will get a basic built in oven for around £200 or so. Most single ovens can be plugged into a 13amp socket, some come with a moulded on 13amp plug.0

As long as the oven is below 3KW it can be connected by a 13AMP plug top.0

We had a similar problem, and bought a microwave/oven/grill combi. It was about £100, plugs in to a normal socket and doesn't take up that much more room than a regular microwave. I don't think we'll be able to get a turkey in it at Christmas though. :-)When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.0
