Barclaycard Registration / Olympic ticket issue

I ordered myself a Visa Barclaycard in order to apply for Olympic tickets. When I tried to use it today, an activation window popped up. I duly filled the details in (correctly) but it wouldn't register. So, I rang Barclaycard to be told they've got a technical issue registering new cards for online use and I should try again after midnight.
Which isn't very handy for the Olympic tickets which close tonight. I can't find anywhere where I can pay by phone for the tickets (apparently my card will already work for this)
Any tips around this problem appreciated!
