Hi-
you could buy iTunes gift vouchers?

Will keep him out of trouble xmas dayThats assuming his prefered artists are on iTunes, that is (some aren't). Whether iTunes is 'best' is always up for debate...
NB you need an account on itunes to actually buy there, and you can't move files between accounts (I think), making it a bit awkward if you want to download for someone else.
... or just buy normal CDs and rip them to mp3 yourself0 -
You can't buy from anything except iTunes for the iPod.
Best idea is suggested above, get the CD's and rip them.Ever stop to think and forget to start again?0 -
Buy him the CDs for Xmas and let him rip them on to the iPod himself - it'll give him some good practice doing so (and keep him out of your hair for ten minutes(!)).
In addition, go to your local newsagents and buy him some Coke bottles that have the iTunes promotion on them. The bottles have a code on them (on the inside of the label) that give you a free iTunes song. I think it's only a maximum of five songs per person, but that's five times 79p that you're saving.0
