Hi,

Momentarily panicked when I just logged into Equifax at the amount of money it thinks I owe, when on closer inspection, it seems they have listed all of my debts twice.

I am hoping it is just a glitch.

Anyone else experienced this recently?

Thanks

Dunno but on my file they had both me and my brother mixed in.

That said they did sort it out quite quickly.
  • Oh no! I meant to say Experian. I can't change the title either. Ooops. Lol

Yes exactly the same problem a few weeks ago - although the number of accounts is now almost back to normal , I have not contacted them

(duplicate accounts unrectified are settled in my case)

Are your electoral roll details duplicated ?

    Yes they have :(

I think that is what caused the glitch

I hope the banks do not see the same version

The problem should rectify itself , I am not sure if Experian do this manually

There is a thread on address variants https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3177676

I had all accounts duplicated - I now only have one account duplicated and that is a settled account

Same for me. I've spent years correcting errors on my file before I just gave up and unsubscribed. I was going round and round in circles. Experian seem uninterested in correcting your data without running it by the banks first.

I had a default posted in error, many years ago. Took me three years and a court order to have it removed. Experian just took the word of the banks over mine, despite the bank being unable to prove the default.

Not my favourite company to deal with

Exaclty the same thing happend to me, all of my report was duplicated. To be honnest though it was sorted within 48hours by emails luckily.
Still a pain and a worry at the time !
Can I find out my credit score?
You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)
