Towel warmers - Do they make effective radiators?

Not allowed anymore under current energy efficiency regs.
Not retrospective though.0 -

Nor required with a boiler that has a built-in bypass. I was, of course, meaning older systems. Sorry that I was unclear. Not allowed anymore under current energy efficiency regs.
Good thing in one way. Lot of work to be had if it was.Not retrospective though.

I've found our bathroom to be quite warm enough with just a heated towel rail. The rail is plumbed into the hot water system, so when you have a bath, the towel rail is hot due to the demand from the DHW tank to replace the hot water used in filling the bath.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
I have a vertical chrome one (like a quarter sized version of the one in diable's pic) in my en suite and it is toasty warm in there, runs on heating circuit though so off lots of the year. My parents have the same one but slighly larger in their bathroom and it is more than sufficient as a radiator.
CC limits £26000
Long term CC debt £0
Total low rate loan debt £3000
Almost debt free feeling, priceless.
Ex money nightmare, learnt from my mistakes and never going back there again, in control of my finances for the first time in my adult life and it feels amazing.0 -

Water powered I think.........0 -
I bought mine from there based on your recommendation and I am very pleased. I went for the 600 x 1200 Snowdon one which has an output of around 2300 BTU, enough to heat the bathroom sufficiently. :beer:0
