start by telling us what happens on screen?Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
-
The 1st Screen Says At The Bottom -press Tab Key To Enter Post, Escape Key To Enter Boot And Delete Key To Enter Set Up
The Screen Flaches Lists If Digits Etc
Then The Screen Says Windows Did Not Start Properly And I Gives A List Of Start Options -
Start Windows Normally-
If You Start Normally The Screen Changes Shade From Black To Dark Grey And Thats It It Freezes
Safe Mode-
If You Start In Safe Mode, It Runs Another List Of Digits The Freezes Whilst On That Screen
I've Also Tried To Re-install Using The Rescue Disk And That Runs Till I Get A Blue Screen Saying Set Up Is Starting Windows, Then That Freezes
Great Huh???
Any Help Greatly Appreciated0 -
So you installed a pci network card inside the machine, have now removed it, and it still won't boot?
Have you caught anything inside, ram etc, and dislodged it?
Try going into the bios (delete key to enter setup at boot), and reset to defaults, and save settings.
If that has no effect, try disconnecting every piece of kit one by one.. any usb stuff, CD/DVD drives etc.. to see if you can get any further.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
possibly also remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard (normally a 10p size round one) and leave it for 10 seconds...then replace the battery and turn it on and let it detect all your devices againEx forum ambassador
