I shall be receiving a bank draft soon but I do not want to use my bank account to access the cash. Anyone any ideas ...Channel Island account perhaps? Any personal experiences appreciated. Thanks.

This sounds very dodgy! If it says account payee which as far as im aware all drafts do then it needs to be paid through an account. Other than that ask them to pay you in cash.Nothing's free.....but we'll see what we can do!0

Thanks for that - I guess I was grasping a straws!0

You could try one of the cheque cashing shops like Cash Converters or Money Shop. I've seen signs up saying they cash a/c payee only cheques but have never needed this service so don't know how much it would cost.
You could of course open a separate savings account with another provider to pay the cheque into and withdraw in cash. Your average savings account would not require a credit check but normal ID requirements would apply.0 -
