you can ask to change advisors if you are not happy with the one you have.
have you told your current advisor that you are not interested in a job in sales?0 -
If your not interested in sales jobs, checkout op the tell her and make sure you tell her you want warehouse, retails easy to do though, just politely ask why she has put you down for jobs you have no experience in.0

If you got a job, you might get a new boss that you don't see eye to eye with (we have all been there).
Can't you see this a challenge?
Failing that, why don't you ask?
D70How about no longer being masochistic?
How about remembering your divinity?
How about unabashedly bawling your eyes out?
How about not equating death with stopping?0 -
How long have you been claiming JSA ? If over 3 months it is expected that you look for more than one type of occupation.0

Surely if you didn't though, you would take the opportunity to find out?
As dugdale has asked, how long have you been claiming for?Gone ... or have I?0 -
Remind your adviser that your JSAg is called a jobseekers agreement and you don't agree to her changing your three main jobgoals. You can refuse to sign your JSAg and you will be allowed to explain why however your benefit wouldn't be paid until your JSAg was finally signed by you and your adviser.
I can sort of see where your adviser is coming from. If there are no warehouse, packing or shelf filling vacancies in your travel to work area and that is the only kind of work that you're prepared to do you will be out of work for quite a while. You need to look at all possibilities to get yourself back into work however there isn't any point your adviser simply printing of vacancies that aren't realistic for you. The next time you see your adviser I suggest that you ask her to book you in for a skills health check with Next Step as they might be able to suggest alternative, suitable employment that you hadn't considered.0 -
Am I missing the point here?, when I was claiming JSA I would go on any interview I managed to get. I did not care less if I had any experience in that field. Don't narrow yourself to what you have done before many of the skills you would have picked up previously can be transfered to a new job in a new field. Get the interview, get the job, get your foot in the door and then go from there.Iva started Dec 2018.0

A quick scan of the OP's previous posts shows that the two of you share little in common in this respect.Gone ... or have I?0 -
How long have you been claiming JSA?
When I first signed on, one of the advisors explained to me that I was allowed to spend up to 13 weeks trying to secure employment in the same line of work as my old job, but if I ever got past those 13 weeks, I would have to apply for everything and anything. If you have been on JSA a while, you might be at that stage already?
Some jobs will be wildly unsuitable and I appreciate that the longer you are out of work, the less confident you feel about your ability to adapt and learn new skills in the workplace, but I would encourage you to look at different types of work and consider how the skills and experience you have could apply.
Warehouse work might be ideal, but if there is none available, retail could be a good alternative. If you have a severe stutter, checkout work might be difficult, but shelf stacking for example wouldn't involve much customer interaction. Keep an open mind.
Best of luck in finding another job, I know how hard it is.0
