At the moment I am seriously considering taking a Debt Relief Order out but before I done it I was wondering...
1. Has anyone done this? If so, is it worth doing?
2. I have a bank account at the moment which I need, would a DRO affect this?
Thanks for any help giving.

A lot of people have since they were introduced. However, you need to have free impartial advice that a DRO is best for you.

If it's overdrawn when you apply, then it's a debt and should be listed - it will be closed.
If you have other debts to that banking group - it will probably be closed.
If it's unconnected to other debts and in credit (less than £300 residual), as it is not declared anyehere on the application (unlike bankruptcy) - you should be OK.0
