It sounds like the Vodafone rep was trying to set you up on Vodafone Email+ which was (when they were touting it to me) a monthly charged service.Signaller, author, father, carer.0

Sounds like the Vodafone rep was trying to be overly helpful.
Of course they need all the email details to set the account up. for sure, he/she should have said,
"Stop bothering me, go online and enter the details yourself", but they didn't. Instead they tried to do your work for you.
When you got pointed to the online page, you did all this yourself.
I'm not entirely convinced attempting to get this employee in the rattle is the right thing to do, but nontheless, this info should not have been requested.0 -
Hi Darkrev,
It's really disappointing to hear that you are unhappy with how things have been dealt with and I would like to help turn this around for you.
I understand your concerns with giving out your email passwords and can certainly see why this would leave you worried. You also mentioned in your post that you had experienced some other issues. So that I can look into these and discuss the matter further, can you send me an email here and put WRT135 (FAO Heidi) in the subject box so that it reaches me directly.
Many thanks,
Heidi

Not incorrect at all. If you want your provider to send email settings then they need to know the server username and password.
Apart from your unnecessarily brusque manner, the issue here is that you are actually talking about something completely different ie. Blackberry service books etc. No wonder you've had so many problems.Thank you to all the money savers:beer: for all the wisdom, companionship, bargains, competitions and ideas:T you have made a transformation to our household, Thank you, it would have been so much harder without you and together we are amazing :A:smileyhea0 -
