The past 2 years i have applied, and both times the website has been swamped the first few hours of the day. To the point that it fails to accept any requests.

I shall leave it till late tomorrow / tuesday before myself & mrs AO apply again.

Don't tempt me, just done Brighton and said I was going to the 4 great runs next year and leave it a few years until another marathon, would love to do London though...

I too am going to try to get into London through the ballot tomorrow. Got Edinburgh next month and Loch Ness in October, they should all be open entry I think - first come first served. Mr Branson should take note :)
    Good luck everyone!! X
  • I did London this year - it was amazing. Doubt I will get lucky 2-years in a row. before getting lucky in 2011 I had entered the ballot 6 times but stupidly one year didn't enter as pregnant and lost the chain of entry that entitles you to your place (though this is not the case anymore!)

I entered London last year but didn't get in, thankful really as I definitely didn't fancy running the week after Brighton. I definitely recommend Brighton, really fantastic day out

Mr & Mrs AO entered again.

This time, NOT donating both fee's to charity as last year it was a complete waste of time.

Good luck everyone. This will be my 3rd go at entering, here's hoping 3rd time lucky! :j
I have considered going for one of the bonded places but feel the pressure of training and running would be enough without the extra worry of trying to raise a specific amount of money as well.
If I'm lucky enough to get a spot in the ballot I'll run and raise as much as I can for a charity anyway though.
