Changing Train Tickets

Hi
I booked a return (just a standard return) on Thursday for travel tomorrow via the Transpennine Express website.
I reserved seats and planned to catch an earlier train to what I now need. Is there any way I can change my reservation for a seat on the train an hour later?
Also, will I face any problems collecting the tickets from the machine, even though it's just a off-peak return, because I'd reserved a seat an hour earlier and will be picking the tickets up after this train has departed?
Thanks

I can't as I have no way of getting to the train station until tomorrow. As it's a standard return I was hoping the reservation side of it wouldn't actually matter if I caught that train or not.0

If it's a standard return ie Off Peak or Anytime then you will be ok to catch a later service but you won't have a seat reservation for that train.
Only problems occur when its an advance ticket or a standard ticket with restrictions ie travel by a certain train company only, ie it will say on the ticket 'Virgin trains Only' or similar.
If you have any more doubts then just post back with ticket details ie ticket type, from and to, and any route restrictions printed on the ticket.Whoa! This image violates our terms of use and has been removed from view0 -
It's just an off-peak return from Durham to Leeds. Other tickets I've had don't have any sort of restrictions on it, just any train that runs that route.
The only thing I was really worried about was the train reservation was for the 10.27am train, now I'm catching the 11.27am train and wouldn't get to the station to collect the tickets until around 11am. So I thought the machine may decline to give me the ticket because of that.0 -

I would not worry too much about reservations on TPE, the trains do get full for some parts of the journey, but boarding at Durham you should be OK to find a seat. Most seats tend to be unreserved and many reservations made on TPE are not taken up, in my experience. Also it is perfectly valid to take a Cross Country train, or an East Coast train to York and then any of Northern / TPE / Cross Country from York to Leeds.SVR - OFF-PEAK R TPE

I'm assuming this isn't a day return, and you are travelling back at a later date within a month? If you ever do this as a day return, it is cheaper to combine Durham-York and York-Leeds tickets, providing you leave Durham after 0915, a Off Peak Day Return Durham-York is £23.70 and an Off Peak Day Return York-Leeds is £11.10, totalling £34.80, saving £5.
If you are lucky you might just make the 1056 Cross Country train to Leeds. Assuming the train is a 5-car Voyager (which is likely), head for Coach B as this is non-reserved.teamcullen wrote: »... wouldn't get to the station to collect the tickets until around 11am...0
